Financial Conflict of Interest (FCOI) 和 Outside Activities

All UWF employees are required to annually disclose 课外活动 按 大学政策 和 佛罗里达州的法律. This requirement can be met by submitting the UWF 户外活动表格. 此外, certain sponsors of research require an additional disclosure of Significant Financial Interests (SFI) prior to proposal submission annually 和 within 30 days of acquisition or discovery. This requirement is satisfied through the submission of the 财务COI披露动态表 by all investigators for these sponsors.

The Financial Conflict of Interest Form

The terms investigator 和 significant financial interest, as used in the 财务COI披露动态表的定义如下 42 CFR 50.603.

调查员 is defined as the principal investigator, 首席研究员, or any other person responsible for the design, 行为, or reporting of the proposed or funded research or educational activities. For the purpose of determining a Significant Financial Interest, an "investigator" also includes an employee's 配偶/伴侣, 抚养的孩子. 

重大经济利益(SFI) Interest is one or more of the following financial interests of the 调查员 that reasonably appears to be related to the investigator’s institutional responsibilities.

• 工资 or any other payments for services not otherwise identified as 工资,

• equity interests, such as stocks 和 stock options,
• intellectual property rights, such as patents, copyrights, 和 royalties.

• income derived from service on advisory committees or review panels for public or nonprofit entities;

Required Conflicts of Interest Training
